FAQ
Common Questions
What types of stone do you work with?
We specialise in Jersey granite, but also work with a variety of natural stones. Our expertise lies in matching existing stonework for heritage restoration projects.
Do you use traditional or modern methods?
We combine traditional Jersey stonemasonry methods with modern reliability. For heritage projects, we exclusively use traditional lime mortars to ensure authenticity and longevity.
How long does a typical project take?
Project timelines vary based on scope. A simple lime pointing job might take a few days, while a full heritage restoration could take several weeks. We always provide detailed timelines upfront.
Do you offer free quotes?
Yes! We offer free, no-obligation quotes for all projects. Simply contact us by phone or through our contact form, and we'll arrange a site visit at your convenience.
Are you insured?
Yes, R-V Stonemasons is fully insured for all types of masonry work. We carry comprehensive public liability insurance for your complete peace of mind.
Can you match existing stonework?
Absolutely. Russell has extensive experience sourcing matching granite and stone to ensure seamless integration with existing structures, especially for heritage restoration work.
